My approach to therapy
Mark brings a person-centred, trauma-informed approach to his work, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's unique needs. His areas of interest include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy. Mark works with both individuals and couples and has particular experience supporting clients dealing with drug, alcohol, and addiction issues.

At the heart of Mark’s practice is the belief that people don’t need an expert to “fix” them, but rather someone to walk alongside them—to help them understand their struggles, reconnect with their inner strengths, and work collaboratively toward meaningful change. He believes that with the right support, guidance, and compassion, people have an incredible capacity to heal and grow.

In addition to his clinical experience, Mark brings a strong background in administration, management, and executive leadership. He also has over a decade of pastoral care experience, having supported individuals and families through issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and existential questions around meaning and purpose. Mark has been actively involved in child protection work and has served with various not-for-profit child and family organisations, both as an employee and a board member.
